Let’s make some noise for our new client: HMD Global—the home of Nokia phones. The Laika Space Dogs feel honored to be part of their aim to connect people through technical solutions with a sustainable approach. For the millennials among us, we’re quite excited to be working with this new quest partner, as Nokia were some of our very first mobile phones, (we’ll never forget the many hours of entertainment the phones’ snake game provided). 

Connecting the world, while considering our planet

From the beginning, Nokia phones had the reputation for being long-lasting devices. However, extended device usage is only the first step towards environmental protection. HMD Global, the company behind Nokia phones, is going one step further to safeguard the planet. This includes partnerships with environmental organizations and efforts to reduce electronic waste. One such initiative is the Circular program, which is a subscription service that provides access to top Nokia devices and rewards. Instead of being disposed of at the end of the loan period, these devices are donated, reused, or recycled depending on their condition. 

Shaping a more sustainable smartphone world

Laika is excited to support HMD Global in promoting a more sustainable approach to mobile communications. The Laika crew will be in charge of handling product and corporate communications for the Finnish brand in the DACH market, while providing support for events and influencer relations.
