Lunch without food coma – welcome MARKTKOST!

"What do I eat for lunch today?" Millions of people in Germany ask themselves this question every day. Workers don't often have the time or energy to think about it for too long and fall back on quick meals like a sandwich, a pot of instant noodles from the supermarket, or a burger at the fast food joint around the corner. 

Founded by Laura-Maria Horn, MARKTKOST has the answer to that question for healthy and hassle-free lunch seekers. The Potsdam-based food-as-a-service start-up offers a variety of lunch packages for companies that can be customized for each employee, conveniently delivered to the workplace, like a web-based micro-canteen, and gives employees the energy boost they need – with fresh dishes adapted to their calorie needs. In addition, MARKTKOST's reuse concept eliminates packaging waste, and their smart pre-ordering system sends a clear message against food waste. Based on its AI-driven recommendations, user-friendly design and operational excellence, MARKTKOST’s technology offers automated processes and cost-efficient scalability with the highest user comfort.

The path from MARKTKOST to local businesses

MARKTKOST approached us, Laika Space Dogs, to increase MARKTKOST's presence and visibility by, increasing their brand awareness in the media and spreading MARKTKOST’s concept of offering sustainable, healthy and flexible lunches to offices.  Through targeted guest articles, especially in business and start-up media, the goal was to grow MARKTKOST’s awareness, including among potential investors. With coverage focused on local markets (Berlin, Brandenburg), the Laika crew is responsible for MARKTKOST’s PR strategy, corporate communications, as well as PR media relations, content development, and speaker placements.
