Laika Helps Spread the Message: Stay heydrated!

For the most part, it’s not always easy to stay adequately hydrated. Which is why we are quite pleased to welcome our new customer, heydrate, providing healthy and sustainable refreshments. Their single-serve, naturally flavored, powdered drink sticks makes drinking water less boring and are a great alternative to sugary drinks, like sodas. 

During their studies, heydrate’s two young entrepreneurs, Janik Nolden and Julian Dienst, realized that they simply weren’t drinking enough water. They came up with the idea to make water more exciting, by creating a purely natural, sugar-free, calorie-free solution to stay hydrated, without the need to lug bottles around. They created powdered drink sticks with refreshing flavors, such as Hibiscus Icetea and Matcha Lime Energy, which can be easily mixed with tap water. heydrate prides itself in being good for the body and good for the environment, which is why they also offer BPA-free, reusable glass water bottles. 

heydrate approached us, Space Dogs, to help them spread the news of their mission to offer healthier and more sustainable drink alternatives and their vision of offering beverages that adapt to people's daily lives and keep the environment clean. The Laika crew gladly accepted the mission, and supports heydrate, with increasing their brand awareness throughout the DACH region, arranging product placements with relevant media and developing influencer cooperations, among other things. It was a well-hydrated match from the start, as both our values go hand in hand. It quickly became clear to us that heydrate, would fit right in our portfolio of forward-looking customers. The Laika crew enjoys these new, environmentally friendly, healthy drink alternatives.

Based in Düsseldorf, heydrate is committed to our planet, beyond its product. In collaboration with Plastic Bank®, heydrate collects one plastic bottle from the environment for every stick sold. In just over a year, more than 800,000 plastic bottles have already been collected and 16 tons of plastic removed from the environment. In addition, the powered sticks only use 1% of resources from that of bottled beverages and are made of paper-based material. That’s something us Space Dog can really get behind.
