Hello Moanah, together we are cleaning the (PR) world 🧼 🌱
A new dream client has docked with the Laika mothership this month. But why dream client you say? Read below to find out what exactly they are building:
Unfortunately, conventional cleaning products have been to harm our planet - that’s a sad fact. As to why the three founders Salar Armakan, Katharina Zurmühlen and Felix Kleinhenz are pursuing a crystal-clear mission: sustainable, gentle and plastic-saving washing and cleaning with honest household products for everyone. Products that are so effective that you will love to use them instead of making them disappear under the sink or in the rubbish again. Their company is Moanah, who have sent the Laika spaceship on a mission to create awareness for exactly that and to draw attention to the company as a pioneer for a sustainable future, starting with people’s households. Challenge accepted!
The startup is particularly concerned about the oceans, which is how the name of the company came about: the name Moanah is a Hawaiian word and means ocean. For years, the sea has been flooded with tons of plastic waste. However, Moanah’s cleaning and washing products in the form of powder concentrate not only save plastic, but are also gentle on human skin and nature - without microplastics, easily biodegradable, vegan and free of animal testing. The product range includes all-purpose, bathroom and glass cleaners that can be dissolved in seconds with water in refillable glass bottles and, most recently, two laundry detergents that land directly in customers' letterboxes: Goodbye dragging kilos of detergent up to the top floor! In addition, together with the organization Seven Clean Seas the company fishes plastic bottles out of the world's oceans.
Together, we want to pave the way for sustainable products and convince more people to be aware of the positive impact they can have starting with cleaning in an eco-friendly way. To do so we handle the entire public relations for the young company. From now on we are responsible for media relations, product communications as well as the planning, conception and implementation of communications campaigns and measures. Oh, and yes - our office has never been that shiny!
