Go together: Kurgo teams up with Laika to thread new paths
As you’ve most likely found out by now, Laika has a big heart for dogs. Not only is our agency name and logo a referral to one of the world's most famous dog,we refer to ourselves as the space dogs. Furthermore, we have a VP of happiness (Zelda) and a Chief chaos officer (Taco), who make our day-to-day life much more exciting. Needless to say, we were really happy when Kurgo knocked on our virtual door and asked us to help them with their communications in the DACH market. On the one paw, we could not resist this offer due to the great product line-up and Kurgo’s paw-some values and mission. On the other paw, the name of Kurgo co-founder, Kitter Spater’s, first dog was Zelda as well. Coincidence, destiny, or an act of god… uhm, dog? You tell us.
So, what exactly does Kurgo do? The US-based brand caters to the outdoor needs of dog owners and their best four-legged friends and was founded with the goal of enriching and enhancing outdoor adventures and travel with your dog through practical and well-designed accessories. Their simple claim “Go Together” sums up Kurgo's basic idea that dogs are more than just pets: They are best friends, family members, hiking partners and also companions on the next brewery tour. They go everywhere with you — let it be to the end of the street or to the end of the world… And boy, do we know what they are talking about.
Whether it’s leashes, collars, harnesses, seat pads, (safety) harnesses, carrier bags or other accessories, all products are designed and developed to make adventures with your own dog as easy and safe as possible.
Whilst Kurgo has already made a pretty big name for themselves in the US and in Canada, the DACH region still needs to get to know the company and their line-up. This is where we step in to support the company’s goals with product and corporate communications, as well as influencer relations.
You can probably tell that we are very thrilled to help Kurgo expand their brand awareness. From receiving their initial request for proposal to getting paws-on with their products, it’s already been very exciting... and we’re only getting started.
